
Samuel Mendonça graduated instructor in Kuai Tiren Chan in the city of Franca-SP, in 1986. He graduated instructor in the Northern Praying Mantis in the city of Rio de Janeiro in 1997. He was accepted as student of Grand Master Brendan Lai USA in 1999 and continues his practice of the system in New York, USA, in the Praying Mantis Martial Arts Institute, with Master Tony Chuy, and also in Sacramento, CA, with Master Ron Aviles. Instructor Mendonça also practices Zhou Yi Chuan and Toun Bei Chan Quan with Master Chen Guo Suo, physician of Shan Xi University, China.
With the permition and presence of Grand Master Brendan Lai he inaugurated the Praying Mantis Martial Arts Institute (Brendan Lai Gong Fu Institute) in the city of Campinas, in 1999. He received the title of “Martial Arts Advisor” in 2004 in New York from Master Tony Chuy of the Praying Mantis Martial Arts Institute. He is director and Chief Instructor of the of Institute in Brazil and also supervise the branches in the states of: AC, GO, MG, MT, PA, PB, RO, RJ, SP. He is also Director of Wushu Taolu Departament of Brazilian Kungfu/Wushu Federation.
He graduated in Philosophy and has a Master’s Degree in Ethics from PUC Campinas (1999). He is attending a doctor’s course in Education from UNICAMP, researcher form CNPq in the groups: Philosophy, Culture and Society and Paidéia. From his articles stand out the Heraclitan’s Logos (Czech Republic, 2000), Aristocratic Ethics in Heraclitan (Brazilian Philosophy Magazine, 2003), Juridical Project and Monography (3rd ed., Campinas, 2006). He is a member of the International Association Cosmos & Philosophy and the Publishing Council from the Law College Juridical Magazine from PUC Campinas.
